Thank you for your continued support of AaEA. Over the past year, your involvement has enabled us to provide an amazing number of professional development opportunities - and the organization has grown tremendously. AaEA was established to enhance the professional life of evaluators in the Atlanta area and provide a forum for learning, and exchanging ideas and resources. To meet these goals, we welcome your involvement through our meetings, workshops, social and special events, and committee membership. There are numerous ways, large and small, to contribute and support AaEA as well as our evaluation community in Atlanta (see ‘Ways to Get Involved’): If you like to chat, join the Communications Committee to keep AaEA members connected, promote learning and sharing resources by writing an article for the newsletter, and identify evaluation resources and tools to share with others. If you like meeting new people, consider joining the Membership Committee to help encourage new membership and orient new members to the organization. If you’re finance savvy, our Finance Committee could use your help with making critical resource decisions over the course of the year. If you want to help promote evaluation and learning, join the New Evaluators and Training Committees and help organize AaEA’s professional development workshops. If you are a social butterfly, we hope you consider becoming a part of the Networking Committee and organize events to build the evaluation network and promote casual learning. If you have a special area of interest, join one of our special interest groups (SIG) (e.g., International Evaluation, and Evaluation Capacity Building in the Non-profits) so you can meet others who share similar interests. And, if you have another area of interest, why don’t you start a SIG? We thank our members who contributed to planning and carrying out events over this past year and make AaEA possible. We sincerely encourage you to become involved in AaEA and hope that you will become a part of our *planning* family. |
